Beauty Portrait | Adalis

A photographic close-up is perhaps the purest form of portraiture, creating a confrontation between the viewer and the subject that daily interaction makes impossible, or at least impolite. | Martin Schoeller

Portraiture for me, as a portrait photographer, is to capture something true about the person positioned in front of my camera because this moment in time will be captured in a print that will likely outlast my subject and myself. A legacy portrait is a moment suspended in time that will be passed down in the form of a photograph from one generation to the next.

I encourage everyone, but especially women, and in particular mother's to exist in photographs. Audrey Hepburn said that beauty is being the best possible version of yourself, inside and out. The truth is we are all surrounded by family and friends who love us for exactly who we are and they want beautiful images of us.

Each and every one of us leaves a legacy. My desire is to help you create a visual legacy that helps tell the story of who you are for future generations.

A picture is worth ten thousand words. | Fred R. Barnard
